Oculus Tibet, is an interactive comptuer controlled video installation with three channels of video, four channel sound,performance for the camera and microporcessors connected to PIR sensors that detect the presence of visitors to the gallery and change video tracks in sync with human movements through the space. The video and sound and GPS data were recorded on location at the Jokung Temple in Lhasa Tibet in 1999. As part of the Oculus Series Oculus Tibet seeks to explore ideas of human consciousness by locating the presence of the artist on the globe at a particular time and place as she collects the data of her environment.
