Oculus Iceland Performance 3 is the third performance work done on location in Iceland. In this work Lukkas spent 24 hours in a lava field on the Reykjanes Penninsula south of Reykavik Iceland first marking her presence with a GPS device then documenting everything in her immediate environment. Like the other Oculus Projects this work is concerned with locating and situating human consciousness at a particular place on the globe and at a particular moment in time or a particular duration of time.

During this period it had begun to rain and Lukkas retreated to her rental car where she recorded the images of the landscape and sound from the car radio as it unfolded in time. The above documentation is a series of short samples of the 24 hours of video and audio tape collected.
