Oculus Hoi An, is a multi-channel video installation shot in the midst of a typhoon on location in Hoi An Vietnam. As the waters ravaged the city families from the country side fled to higher ground their few belongings in hand. As the waters rose the young girl in the video posed for the camera. Amid the life threatening devistation around her she was intersted in being recorded, documented, her presence marked by the camera, by a western tourist.
