Lynn Lukkas, Associate Professor

Time and Interactivity Area | Department of Art | University of Minnesota

My courses focus on integrating digital technologies with more traditional media arts forms in media installation, performance art, experimental video, narrative film/video and interdisciplinary collaborations projects. I teach across the curriculum from introductory through graduate level courses in Media Arts. Pedagogically I am intersted in exploring disciplinary boundaries within arts practices and between the arts, humanities, sciences and social sciences. I emphasize students' conceptual, aesthetic and critical development appropriate to the course level. In addition to visual and media arts I have worked extensively with students from a variety of arts backgrounds including Theater Arts, Music, Dance, Architecture, Design and Creative Writing.
